Tikkun Olam Day: Respect for Seniors, Respect for Individual Differences

The VBS Day School students and their Israeli hosts walked to the community center to make breakfast for the seniors along with Tamar, Tilly and two surprise guest teachers. They sang, danced and created a beautiful note pad decorated in Hebrew and English with the values of giving. In the afternoon the students traveled to the Children's Museum in Holon to learn about communicating with a deaf individual. It was a powerful and memorable experience, to learn to communicate from our animated, kind and patient deaf guide, Golan.
